The Black Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico is excited to cohost a special film event commemorating Black History Month, along with the Jewish Community Center and the NM Holocaust & Intolerance Museum.

We invite you to a screening of Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round, a powerful Civil Rights documentary by Emmy Award-winning director Ilana Trachtman.

Since 1909, Glen Echo Amusement Park stood as a symbol of racial segregation. In June 1960, Howard University students staged a peaceful sit-in, making history with the "Sit-Down Movement." This documentary sheds light on their struggle and explores the unseen stories of six remarkable individuals who shaped the Civil Rights Movement.
